A shocking incident occurred on the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway, where the assistant manager of Chappar Toll Plaza was kidnapped and brutally murdered. The plaza's manager was also severely injured during the attack, as reported by local authorities on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Arvind Pandey, the assistant manager of the toll plaza. His body was discovered on Friday morning in the Jani police station area of Meerut district, showing multiple stab wounds.
Mukesh Chauhan, the toll plaza manager, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. Following Chauhan's complaint, police have registered a case of murder, kidnapping, and attempted murder against two toll plaza employees, Sugam and Shiv Malik, among others. The suspects are currently at large.
According to the complaint, the assailants arrived late Thursday night in a car and forcibly entered the manager's room. They subsequently kidnapped Pandey, fatally attacked him, and injured Chauhan.
Authorities suspect that a longstanding feud between the assistant manager and the accused employees may have motivated this heinous crime. The police have detained several individuals for questioning.
